Will You?

Isaiah 6:8

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’ ”

Probably one of the most intimidating tings I can think of is of hearing the voice of God, sensing the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, asking me to move…to take action…yet, remaining silent.

This is something we pray for, isn’t it?  To be called on, sent into the fray.  But what if the call comes and we don’t answer?  We doubt ourselves and our abilities to meet the challenge.  But God, who knows everything about us, faults and all, still believes in us.

When He asks us to take a step forward in faith, He is not doing it as some cruel trick, intended to cause us pain,  He allows us the opportunity to heed the call because He knows we can do it.

Faith then, is not just the belief in what can happen outside of ourselves, but also what can occur inside our hearts.  When we exercise that faith, when heeding the call, the blessings are unimaginable.

Heavenly Father, 

You call us into things which glorify you and bless our lives  

When you ask us, Lord, let our answer be a resounding “Amen”.  Help us not to fear giving our all to You.
